Questions
- How does owning Standard work?
Every Standard payment counts as months toward owning it: a monthly payment counts as 1, an annual payment as 12, and a lifetime payment as all 24. When you reach 24, Standard is yours to keep and you stop paying.
- Do the months need to be in a row?
No. If you cancel and come back later, you pick up where you left off.
- Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes, and everything you’ve paid still counts. Twelve monthly payments and then one annual payment makes 24 months, and Standard is yours.
- Can I pay off the rest in one go?
Yes. Choose Lifetime at any point and the months you’ve already paid come off the price.
- Will I ever pay for more than 24 months?
No. If a renewal would take you past 24, we only charge for the months you have left.
- Why is annual cheaper?
Annual and lifetime both come to $160 for ownership. Paying monthly the whole way comes to $240. Monthly is there if you’d rather not pay a year up front.
- What happens if I cancel?
You keep Standard until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and every month you’ve paid still counts toward owning it.
After that you’re on the free plan. Nothing is deleted. If you have more than two projects, they become read-only: you can still open, read, export and comment on all of them, and you can choose two to keep writing in. Subscribe again and every project is writable straight away.
- What do I own?
Standard, on your account, for good: everything in the Standard column above. Collaboration will be a separate service with its own price when it arrives, and isn’t part of what you own.
- What happens to my progress if I delete my account?
Your progress belongs to your account, so deleting the account deletes it too, along with a lifetime purchase. If you only want to stop paying, cancel your plan instead. Your progress is kept, and you can pick up where you left off whenever you come back.
- Is there a free trial?
There’s no trial, because there’s a free plan with no time limit. Try everything in it for as long as you like, then upgrade when you need more projects or Standard features.
- Which currencies can I pay in?
Prices are set in US dollars, pounds, euros, Australian dollars and Canadian dollars, and shown in your currency where we can tell where you are. Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller, and your receipt comes from them.
