There is no generative AI in Pilcrow. Nothing in the app writes, rewrites, summarises or suggests prose for you.

No AI training on your writing

We don’t use your writing to train AI, and we don’t let anyone else use it to train AI.

We don’t sell your data

Your writing and your data are yours. We don’t sell them, rent them or share them for advertising. Our privacy policy lists the services that help us run Pilcrow and exactly what each one handles.

What about the grammar checker?

Pilcrow’s spelling and grammar checks use a rule-based engine that runs on your own device. It isn’t a language model, it doesn’t generate text, and your writing isn’t sent anywhere to be checked.
